Founder & Principal Consultant
Ope has spent more than two decades leading IT compliance, cybersecurity, and quality programs at the highest levels of regulated industry — most recently as Sr. Practice Manager for Digital Security Assurance at Amazon Web Services, where he advised healthcare and life sciences clients on HIPAA, GDPR, GxP, NIST, and FedRAMP programs.
Before AWS, Ope served as Head of IT Compliance at Myovant Sciences, Director of IT Compliance at iRhythm Technologies, and Director of IT Digital Quality & Compliance at AbbVie's Pharmacyclics — where he established an IT Compliance Center of Excellence and chaired the IT Change Control Board. Earlier leadership roles at Gilead Sciences and Johnson & Johnson built deep expertise in GAMP 5 validation, infrastructure qualification, and FDA/EMA inspection readiness.
His scientific foundation — an M.S. in Biotechnology from Illinois Institute of Technology and early research roles at Pfizer (Wyeth-Ayerst), Abbott, and BIOVIA (Accelrys) — means he understands not just the regulations, but the science the regulations are protecting.
